Dissemination Papers on Environmental Management Systems and Privatization in the NIS and Central and Eastern Europe
For the World Bank Environment Department, EEA researched and prepared technical papers addressing the application of ISO 14001 EMS by industrial enterprises in the New Independent States and Central and Eastern Europe. Additional work included an analysis of the relationship between privatization and environmental management in the two regions. The papers documented case studies in Russia and Ukraine.
Preparation of Sector-specific Guidance for Evaluating Loan Project Concept Compliance with Environmental and Social Safeguard Policies
For World Bank, EEA is preparing short sector-specific guidelines for Bank Task Team Leaders to use in vetting their proposed project concepts through the Bank's 10 Safeguard Policies for environmental and social protection.
